About the venue
PowerSpace in Ivano-Frankivsk is a resource centre created by NGO STAN during the full-scale invasion as a hub for young people, civil society initiatives and community groups. The space was established to help people restore their resources, receive support, meet others, learn, organise events and engage in intercultural dialogue.
The venue occupies around 400 square metres and is partly accessible for people with disabilities. NGO STAN follows the principles of accessibility and barrier-free participation, and plans to install an elevator in the future to make the building more comfortable for people with reduced mobility.
PowerSpace has three floors and a basement level. It can host trainings, workshops, strategic sessions, team buildings, educational events, art projects, exhibitions and community meetings. The venue is fully energy-independent and autonomous, so events and work can continue even during power outages.
The space includes a fireplace hall, a large training hall, shared areas, bathrooms, balconies and a kitchen-dining area.
About the city
Ivano-Frankivsk is a compact and dynamic city in western Ukraine, located close to the Carpathian Mountains. It is known for its walkable city centre, active cultural life, strong civil society networks and growing youth initiatives. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ivano-Frankivsk has also become an important place of relocation, solidarity and support for internally displaced people, activists and organisations from different regions of Ukraine.
