About the venue
Alternative is an attractive drop in space and an inclusive environment for adolescents and young adults between 15 and 30 years old. Located in Armenia’s capital city – Yerevan, it offers local young people and youth initiatives a central, well equipped and easily accessible space to meet, learn, get engaged and simply hang out.

About the city
Built from the volcanic pink stone tuff, Yerevan is a modern and vibrant city – a home for over half a million young people. With mixtures of bohemian and modernist styles, Yerevan is a unique city – comfortable and walkable – with a beautiful green gorge with a river running through the city.
The ambition of Alternative Youth Centre is to become a space for meaningful youth participation, a space where young people get empowered to actively engage in community life and make a positive impact on the community, society and their peers.
